- Defect area = D*d
- The length of the triangle (H) is typically 3 to 4 times the width of the surgical defect (h)
- The height of the triangle (D) is usually 1.5 to 2 times the length of the original base or the “leading-edge” of the flap (d)
- For different angles:
- Ø = 60, H = D
- Ø = 40, H = 1.4*D
- Ø = 30, H = 1.9*D
